Galoob, aka Lewis Galoob Toys, Inc, is a toy company which also dabbles in electronics and software. Among the Game Enhancer community they are well known for distributing the Game Genie line of products . The creation and distribution of the Game Genie led Galoob into a law-suit with Nintendo. Nintendo charged that the Game Genie violated copyright by creating an unlicensed derivative of their copyrighted game. Galoob won the suit. The outcome of this lawsuit paved the way for other game enhancers to be distributed in the US. In 1998 Galoob was bought out by Hasbro.
